Supporting homeschooling families since 1989. . .Paving the way for Home Education in Alberta!
The Centre for Learning@HOME has been supporting homeschooling families in Alberta for over 35 years. Our parent directed Home Education program empowers parents to lead their child's learning journey, offering guidance, resources, and funding to tailor education to each family's unique needs. Parents have the flexibility to choose and deliver a curriculum that aligns with their educational goals and values.
Home Education – Grades K - 12 – Okotoks Home School
- $901 in available Home Education funding from Alberta Education for each Home Education student.
- Parents choose learning objectives, curriculum, teaching methods and develop the child’s program; program may or may not follow Alberta Programs of Studies.
- Parents teach and deliver the program and evaluate student progress.
- Flexible schooling day and year.
- Minimum of two visits by a qualified Okotoks Home School teacher.
- Home Ed Specialized Support Services provided by Khan Communication Services
Kindergarten
- Parents of children enrolled in the program would qualify for $450.50, half the grant provided to traditional Home Education students in Grades 1-12.
- Students must be age 5 by December 31 of the current year.
